Virtual Border Watch

SAN ANTONIO - Texas has started broadcasting live images of the U.S. border on the Internet in a security program that asks the public to report signs of illegal immigration or drug crimes.
A test Web site went live Thursday at texasborderwatch.com with views from eight cameras and ways for viewers to e-mail reports of suspicious activity. Previously, the images had only been available to law enforcement and landowners where the cameras are located.
"There is only one way to test it, and that's open it up for business," said Texas Homeland Security Director Steve McCraw.

Cyberspace Command
The United States Air Force has commissioned a new command to operate solely in cyberspace and to use it as an arena for war. I think that the Air Force is the most forward looking of all the military branches and they got this idea right. We need to find and destroy the enemy where ever they operate and if that is in cyberspace so be it.
“The aim is to develop a major command that stands alongside Air Force Space Command and Air Combat Command as the provider of forces that the President, combatant commanders and the American people can rely on for preserving the freedom of access and commerce, in air, space and now cyberspace,” Air Force Secretary Michael Wynne told an industry conference.

Battlestar Galactica Spinoff
A new spin-off of Battlestar Galactica called Caprica has been green lighted.
“It’s the story of the creation of the Cylons,” says Moore. “We’re trying to do something different within the genre and give a different flavor to the material than Battlestar Galactica does.”
BSG fans rejoice! If the new series is half as good as BSG, it will be better than 90% of TV shows.

The German author Henryk M. Broder recently told the Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant (12 October) that young Europeans who love freedom, better emigrate. Europe as we know it will no longer exist 20 years from now. Whilst sitting on a terrace in Berlin, Broder pointed to the other customers and the passers-by and said melancholically: “We are watching the world of yesterday.â€

Abducted, Raped, and Stabbed by Two Illegal Aliens

“Two illegals abducted, raped, and carved-up the daughter of an old friend of mine. She was stabbed 15 times and left for dead. Someone told me they could just have as easily been American citizens; to that, I say, fact is they were two illegals, hypothetical’s aside. She has reported to Texas Tech to start her freshman year. She has massive scars many across her face. She has a large body cast which hold her arms up as both arms were basically totally cut from her body, only some skin and a little muscle held them on. I sat with her Grandmother the other day and the girl is determined not to let this define her future, she is 18 years old.”
So here are two questions. Is Britt a racist because he points out that these butchers are Mexican nationals in the country illegally? Am I a racist because I blogged his comments? I am guessing there are many who would say yes to both. They would be wrong.
Ubuntu
Ubuntu is a fairly new version of Linux, that is by far the most user friendly of any Linux version. For those who are novices and have no experience with Linux or are more technically savvy, I would suggest going to ubuntu.com and downloading the ubuntu .iso and burn the image to a CD. Ubuntu runs as a “live” CD, which meas that it will run the operating system from the CD and will not touch your harddrive or change anything on your system. If one decides that they like it one can install the OS right from the live CD. For some excellent tutorials try ubuntuclips.org.
